Performance Monitor

The performance monitor is used to observe the performance of a software program in testing and staging environments, as well as the production environment. A common use of this monitor is to collect performance data early on to help identify and address performance issues prior to software being deployed into production.

The performance monitor is commonly used during the Test and Operate stages.

The performance monitor is typically associated with the Deployment Time and Application Performance metrics.

This pattern is covered in DevOps Module 2: DevOps in Practice.
