The RAID-level identifier mechanism is used to provide RAID-level information on cloud storage devices. This mechanism can be established in one of the following ways:

• If cloud storage device vendors provide APIs or SDKs to automate the process, this mechanism can be implemented automatically for integration into a cloud storage management portal mechanism (Figure 1).
• If no API or SDK can be provided, the cloud storage administrators should manually populate the information using available features or options, such as inventory tags or defined attributes
